“Kings and queens will serve you and care for all your needs. They will bow to the earth before you and lick the dust from your feet. Then you will know that I am the LORD. Those who trust in me will never be put to shame.” (Isaiah 49:23)

This verse prompted me to say it out loud several times over the course of a couple of days period.  Then I saw it differently than I’ve ever seen it before.

I used to think these kings and queens were current governmental leaders who somehow began to show great respect for believers.  And that can still be the case.  But suddenly I saw the servitude as Love and realized the people who already do this action are the Sons for each other.

Who serves and cares for all our needs better than a Son?  They are so filled with maturity and wisdom that they can bow to the earth and lick the dust from our feet. They are true kings and queens who will rule and reign with Jesus.  When we see them, we know how mighty is the Lord and the truth that trust never carries shame.
