I LOVE YOU, BUT I CAN’T “DO” CORPORATE ANYMORE

love alone

It was a weird phenomenon I didn’t expect.  A conference of my peers and friends left me at home wondering whether to spend the money to go and be with them?

And I decided the answer was “no”.  Why?  Well, it has little to do with them, of course, and so much to do with me.

I knew there would be corporate worship.  And then teaching time.  All of it would be awesome and rewarding to anyone who went.  Except, probably me.

No, I’m not a hardcore introvert.  I actually have a very extrovert side which loves to engage with people.  I especially love the one-on-one.

But.  And there is a very big “but”.  I can’t do it anymore. Continue reading I LOVE YOU, BUT I CAN’T “DO” CORPORATE ANYMORE

EATING THE FRUIT OF OUR WORDS

fruit of words

One of my neighbors shared with me, that this town, community, and the area is filled with evil, hateful, disgusting people and it’s a horrible place to live. I was shocked, like a deer in the headlights, but she calmly maintained that everything she felt was the only truth.

I said that I was living the polar opposite and that I love this place and everyone here. Continue reading EATING THE FRUIT OF OUR WORDS

CHRISTIAN BULLIES ARE AMONG US

intimidation

It’s true there are Christians who behave like bullies.  Some bullies are not aware they are bullying.  Other bullies are taught to be bullies by their churches and bible schools under the guise of debate.

One Christian brother told me that he learned debate techniques in a School of Ministry which practiced aggressively, combative techniques.  “I sliced and diced with my tongue, winning all but one of those debates” he told me. Continue reading CHRISTIAN BULLIES ARE AMONG US

WE ARE THE WALLS AND THE GATES

We are the walls and the gates of the new Jerusalem which have suffered abuse, been torn down, dismantled, burned in the fire, and damaged by the battle. We have suffered and we go to each other for repairs. We have the tools to repair ourselves and each other; for healing, deliverance, encouragement, wisdom, guidance.

Father pointed out to me that HE didn’t rebuild the walls of Jerusalem – the people did it. They did it from love. They did it through unity.

Research revealed that the work was theirs and each man repaired the piece of wall which stood in front of his own home. He used his hands, his back, and his energy to fix what was broken right in front of him.

I thought of the uniqueness of each man, causing the wall to be a tapestry of men’s hands and labor.

All are equal in their labor. Each one of vital importance.

We are pieces of the Wall, Gates, and Portals. Working to repair the damage in each other, to fix what’s broken, replace what’s missing, polish what’s tarnished – not to tear down.  Our goal is to build up and make strong, able to stand as a fortress, protection for the whole, not alone, but in unity, through love. We have the tools.

The day is coming and is close at hand when we will stand and see the City complete, firm and strong, functioning in all areas, shining in the Light of God, covering the Earth with His glory.

GOD MADE US TO BE BLESSINGS

river

God made me to be a Blessing; not to stop someone else’s blessing, or to dish out justice – that’s His job. He made me to be a conduit here on the earth for Him to pass out Blessing to everyone He brings into my path.

Even with enemies (because not everyone will respect or even acknowledge Blessing) He said to turn the other cheek because only Blessing flows thru me, nothing else.

Blessing is like a river flowing in only one direction. It can’t flow in opposite directions or turn around depending on the reception it receives. If there is a blockage, the river keeps flowing until the blockage is flooded and sinks to the bottom; then the river continues, flowing forward, forward, forward.

If we try to turn and flow the opposite direction because of opposition; we will push against our flow of Blessing. It becomes a chaotic, mucked up mess of frothing water. There is no peace in it. Nothing can live in it. It kills whatever gets in it by pulverizing it. This eventually purifies the water. Flowing against the current over a long period of time will cause the water to dig out the bottom of the river and also the sides. Gradually, this creates more room for the water to flow freely again.

The flow will win; however, a life of chaotic, killing froth can exist for a long time. It’s our choice.
When God uses me to bring Blessing in someone’s life and they reject it, misuse me, take advantage of me, or steal from me; I should treat it as though I hardly notice. The Blessing is flowing so strongly that I continue on and flow past the obstacle just as quickly as it appears. Even though I have continued my flow forward, the flow of Blessing from Father, just as the water in the river, will keep bombarding the obstacle until it is worn down and virtually disappears, or it gives up and flows along with the water.

This is how the Blessing of the Lord works – every time. It never fails; never.
