HAVE I PRAYED FOR AMERICA?

Well, I haven’t prayed for American in a long time. Please don’t throw stuff at me! I honestly do not believe my vote means anything to this country or the powers that rule it. So, I don’t play their game which I see as blatant manipulation and programming to turn me into a “sheeple”.

It completely astounds me that the Christian community has swallowed the kool-aid and still believes that they matter like they did in 1950. (And that year might even be too recent.)

I also don’t believe that God is going to manipulate votes to change our President, our laws, or anything about our civil government any more than he would make the Broncos go to the SuperBowl (which I would love!). But it’s not his game.

God’s game is The Kingdom and Jesus talked about it all the time, right in the middle of one of the most horrific governments in history. Jesus virtually ignored the government.

Then there were the dark ages and the appalling tragedies that happened there. But one of the biggest abominations in recent history was Nazi Germany. Where was God then? Well, I believe he was doing exactly what he said he’d do. He was helping people via The Kingdom within to perform miraculous ways of escape. He did not create the bomb to end the war. And he did not manipulate the game in any way. Neither did he manipulate Vietnam. Or the Gulf War. Or any other war.

We were told a long time ago why there are wars and fights. It’s because of our own Self-nature which is at war with our Divine nature. It’s that part of you and me, and the neighbor, and the pastor, and the president that tries to be its own king. It didn’t go away when we got “saved”.

God doesn’t destroy that nature. Rather, he integrates it into Oneness with his Divine nature which is also inside us, where The Kingdom lives. He changes Self-nature and transforms it. But he doesn’t do it against our will, or in spite of our ignorance and refusal to be honest with ourselves. He does it only as we are aware of its existence. And as we grow in our desire to live in his Divine nature. He does this transformation one piece at a time, as we surrender each piece, in a process, a journey. It is definitely not an overnight thing.

Anyway, this is why I stick to The Kingdom within me which actually changes pretty much anything that touches me. It’s why I choose to spend my time understanding it, how it works and then doing it. I really love living in a way that produces results. And the time I spend pursuing it, learning it, and awakening to it, actually matters. It isn’t wasted time because I see results. Consistently.

So, if, for instance, the government does something that will be detrimental to me and my circl, I go to The Kingdom and change the outcome. It doesn’t mean that God changes laws for me, or gets me a new Congressman.

He changes the results for me. How the government’s decisions will affect my life. And I never know how he’s going to do it, but he always does, and it always turns out to benefit me more than what I had previously. I have tons of these stories.

It all begins inside The Kingdom within me. It’s where all things are made new, and nothing is missing, and nothing is broken. And when someone in government or anyone, in general, lays heavy on my heart, I recognize the power of Compassion working inside me via The Kingdom. Those are the fervent and effectual prayers that avail much. That is the only time and the only way I have prayed for America.

I’ve lost a lot of Christian friends over this particular insight, but just as it is with any revelation, I simply cannot go back and “unknow” it. Nor would I want to do so.

As I recall, the political process and all its chaos create tremendous stress. It demands a lot of time and places my country on a pedestal that eerily resembles worshiping another god.

I love where I live, I love my home, my community, and everyone around the world. But not a single one of my blessings deserves to sit on a throne in my life. I am blessed and I know it. I will continue to be overwhelmingly thankful and pursue The Kingdom way that turns all these gifts into my own perfect paradise. But I will not give any one of them a throne there.

Thanks for listening and sharing my journey today. Blessings and courage as you walk yours.
